Family & Senior Portrait Photography

light & airy, natural light photoagrapher

A psychology-loving, sports-playing, sunset-chasing, donut fanatic, family, and senior photographer put on this globe to connect with people and capture their personalities in a stress-free and fun environment. My mission is to help people feel comfortable in front of the camera and to show off their personality in their photos

I BELIEVE THERE’S A STORY IN EVERY PHOTOGRAPH:

My mom always said I should go into something in the visual arts because I have an eye and a love for the arts. Even at a young age, I loved anything with photography and design. Not a surprise, but Mom is always right!  I am a self-taught photographer, I have taken online classes with the New York Institute of Photography, and I take classes ALL THE TIME with posing and lighting and constantly adapting to make my photos the best in the biz! I like the light and airy style mostly, but I do adapt based on lighting and colors of the sessions.

I AM CONSIDERED A NATURAL LIGHT, BUDGET-FRIENDLY PHOTOGRAPHER:

I have always felt that everyone needs photos of all types. I have many package options that can fit into a budget. In addition, I respect people’s time because time is money, for example, when working with kids and husbands, I know we have a limited time to get our “money shots.” One of my clients comes to me every year because her boys LOVE how fast we can get the photos done and it is an amazing end product. Lastly, It is me, myself, and I. I am not a cookie-cutter company- I take the time to know you and what you like and want to get out of our time together. Whether a mini session or a custom hour session, I work hard to give the best experience and product.

Fun Facts About Me:

  • I have been playing ice hockey since I was three years old; I was recently inducted into the Framingham High School Hall of Fame for Ice Hockey. Playing hockey allows me to have fun and be a kid again. It is such an important skill, especially if you want to get a teenager to smile.
  • I earned a Bachelor’s degree in Criminology and a Master's degree in Psychology. I love the human mind and feel that both experiences and educational backgrounds have helped my ability to be able to connect with my muses. It also allows me to see someone’s dynamics, connect with them and capture their personality.
  • I have a 2nd-degree black belt in Jiu Jitsu, as well as teach children starting at the age of 3 through high schoolers. My experience in teaching and Jiu Jitsu has allowed me to interact with children of all types. Working with kids for over ten years, I have seen it all and still seem to love them.
  • I like DIY and projects! I recently bought a house and gutted it. I feel like my simple creative style can resonate in my photos.
  • My family is my biggest inspiration. Mainly my two nieces because they are stinkin’ cuties! You will see them on my Instagram often. I love taking photos with them and practicing my crazy ideas on them. Having first-hand experience with newborns and toddlers, I feel confident in my interactions and in figuring out their personalities- plus, knowing you can not reason with them and they do whatever they want makes taking photos of them an adventure every time.

HAVING THESE MEMORIES IS WHAT MATTERS:

You won’t remember the fight you had with your husband ahead of time, the number of munchkins you had to bribe your child with, or the sassy attitude of your teenager, but you will remember that sentimental value, and maybe even those sassy teenagers will appreciate it one day.

WE NEVER DID FAMILY PHOTOS WHEN I WAS A KID:

I don’t have many family photos, and I wish I did- Which is where my passion comes from. I hear, AND I, too, think about it all the time: “I wish I had a photo of that….” I want you to look back in 20 or 30 years and be able to feel that same feeling you felt in that moment.
